I find there is too much filter material in the cartridge. I take it out and snip about 2mm off the width to let the liquid soak up more. Otherwise it pools to much.

Each one lasts me about five or six days and hold plenty of fluid. I just started and I'm not sure if I should use them that long but I like to use them as long as I can. :)
